Duluth needs: Hi, my name is Duluth and yes I am just that scruffy and just that cute. I am a little terrier mix boy and weigh just a smidge over 5.5 pounds and am 9 weeks old as of March 14. My mom was brought into a shelter by Animal Control as her owner no longer wanted her and she was very, very pregnant. So me and my seven brothers and sisters, all came into the world while we were with Small Breed Rescue. Our mom is super sweet and weighs about 15 to 16 pounds and you can see a picture of her below.

I am kind of low to the ground and don’t think I’m going to have very long legs as my mom does not either. We of course have no idea who my dad was. I am going to be a wonderful size to be a family dog, and I am spunky and happy and everything a puppy should be! Of course, that also means I am going to need work on housetraining, what is appropriate to chew on and what is not, how to walk on a leash and just how to be an awesome member of your family! That means someone is going to have to be home during the day with me to work on all of those things. I promise if you put the time in I will be a lovely companion for you for hopefully many, many years. It’s always a good idea to seek out some obedience training for a puppy once we are fully vaccinated. It will help us be a model citizen!

I have a very scruffy coat that should be pretty low maintenance—a nice shampoo and a brush out from time to time and I should be good to go. I might need to visit the groomer occasionally just for a sanitary trim and maybe around my face.

Since I am a terrier breed, I will probably stay peppy and playful for most of my life and will really enjoy a family looking for a dog that wants to play and be active. I am not a couch potato, but once you play and exercise with me, I will enjoy cuddling up with you, I promise!

So, if you think you might need just a little bit of scruff in your life, contact my friends at SBRET. I have been neutered, had all the vaccines I can have for my age, and am microchipped. My adoption fee is $175.
