My name is Yoda and I am about a 16 month old male Chinese Crested. I guess you can tell that I am the hairless variety as I only have hair on my head, feet, and tail. I weigh about 9 to 10 pounds and my foster mom says that she thinks I am very elegant and beautiful in my own unique way.

Just because I am hairless sure doesn't mean that I do not require daily grooming. I need to be moisturized to keep my skin soft and have frequent baths to keep my skin from breaking out. During the summer I need to wear sunscreen if I am out for any length of time and during the cold months I need a jacket. I seem to prefer to have a sweater on even in the house during the winter months as I get chilly. Chinese Crested frequently have dental problems and I do have some missing teeth and my lower canines point forward.

I have led a pretty sheltered life so lots of things frighten me. Therefore, I need an adult only home please. Right now I am learning about pottying outside, being part of a family and playing with toys. I have really bonded to my foster mom and put my paws up on her to be picked up. I love to cuddle and snuggle! Leash walks are a new experience, and we are working on that too, but lots of things do scare me along my walks so I need someone willing to be really patient with me. I also would like someone home at least part of the day as I will howl when I get lonely. Another dog buddy for companionship would be nice, but please not too rowdy.

So let's summarize this...I am super sweet with my foster mom, need an adult only home, am a work in progress on potty training, love to run and play outside once I get comfortable with my surroundings, and need someone with lots of love and patience because I am very clingy! There is lots of good information online about Chinese Crested so it would be great to do a little research before considering me as a companion.
