In Loving Memory

Hy name is Winnie and I am a 5 year old 11 pound female Shih-Tzu. As you can see I may look a bit rough but you would too if you lived the life I have lived. You see, I was at a bad place called a puppymill, where I was kept only to make puppies and never got the love and attention I deserved. Luckily me and several of my friends were rescued from the awful place, and now I'm in a great foster home that takes care of me.

When I came into rescue I didn't have much hair and was covered in sores because I had mange and had an old broken jaw and some missing teeth, oh and the worst was my eye. I had an open eye socket that seemed to collect all kinds of nasty stuff in there but the nice vets took care of that by cleaning it all out and even found a tiny eye in there but they had to remove it and close the hole up. So as you can see I only have one eye but that's ok because I feel good and do not hurt and that's all that matters to me!

So with the care of the vets and my foster home I am all healed up and ready to go to my forever home. My foster mom says I am just a little clown because I'm always doing something to make her laugh. I like to play with toys and will take all the toys in the house even the big Nylabones and run around with them in my mouth. Oh and I like other dogs too, big or small - it doesn't matter to me. I like to play with them or cuddle up and nap. My foster mom says I am doing well with my housetraining and will even use the dog door and I do well on a leash.

I would do well in just about any kind of home so if you want to give a sweet little girl a second chance at life please contact SBRET. My adoption fee is $175.
