6/30/08 update available!

My name is Wendy and I'm a 6 year old Pomeranian. Everybody that sees me says that I'm a very unusual color, but oh so pretty. I'm just a little ball of fur, weighing about 8 lbs. My foster mom says that you would never know that I'm 6 years old. I love to play and she says anybody that sees my "happy dance" can't help but smile.

I'm getting along great with all the other dogs in my foster home and I'm working very hard on my manners. If the cat is near me, I just pretend that I don't see her, but if she's on the other side of a window or fence, I think it's a great game to bark at her. I have a best doggy friend here and we love to chase the big dog together. What fun it is to run in the grass. I was afraid of the grass when I first came here, but I'm getting braver every day. I have also learned how to use those things called steps.

6/30/08 update:   Well as you can see I am back. I spent a couple of weeks with a very nice family who really wanted to adopt me but it just did not work out. What we learned is that I need a fenced yard because I sometimes get scared on a leash and try to pull away. Also, I just plain prefer women to men so my main caretaker needs to be a woman--that is just who I bond with and I don't cooperate very well with the guys at the house. So now we know a little bit more about me and what type home I would do best in.
