This is Susan and her former foster dog, Wheatie! You may ask - why FORMER foster dog? Well, you see, Susan failed fostering 101. Although she did foster another dog named Buttercup for a short while, Wheatie was a long term foster dog. Finally, Susan and Aaron (her husband) admitted to themselves and to us that they couldn't give Wheatie up. They just loved her too darn much! So SBRET temporarily lost a foster, but Wheatie gained a forever home! Susan did still help SBRET in many ways - by participating in group events, and her latest assignment which was to get us official SBRET t-shirts! We are now happy to report that Susan is back to fostering and is such a valuable foster home as she is also a dog trainer! We are SO lucky to have her not only as a foster home but also available to call on with behavioral problems for any of our dogs! Having a dog trainer in the program is pretty much like gold to us!
