In Loving Memory

This is Karen, and one of our SBRET rescue dogs, Sugar. Karen is one of our most active volunteers, and we all say she has the patience of a saint. You see, her very first fostering experience with SBRET ending up lasting MANY months, as this dog (Ginger the Lhasa Apso) was a senior dog with recurrent ear problems requiring regular care. Ginger also had some unique little personality traits not everyone could appreciate! Anyway, it took SUCH a long time to find Ginger a forever home, but Karen was there with Ginger until we found her that home, and never EVER complained. Karen also regularly works at adopt-a-thons and other SBRET events. But helping SBRET is not all Karen does for the animals in the community. She distributes Critter magazines to local businesses, and helps other area shelters and rescue groups. Thank you so much, Karen, for being as sweet and giving as you are. If there were more people like you in the world, it would surely be a better place!
