In Loving Memory

Hi my name is Ruby, and I am a 5-6 year old female Chihuahua who was lucky enough to make it out of a puppymill. I have spent all my life in a cage with lots of other dogs having lots of puppies. I am being fostered by a loving family with older kids and 2 other Chis and am absolutely loving it.

I am happy to sleep in my bed or with one of the children. I am just happy to have my new family love me and teach me new things. My housetraining is coming along great, and I do prefer to go outside but I am absolutely terrified of steps. I have to be carried down steps and sometimes even up them if I'm not used to them. Wet grass is new to me too and at times I might go on the concrete but I will hold it until my foster mom takes me out.

I love being held and when I hear my foster mom's voice my tail wags and wags with appreciation. I still cower down when you pick me up but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy being held because I drift off right to sleep when I get the chance to cuddle up. My foster mom describes me as the sweetest, most appreciative low maintenance Chihuahua; my foster mom's other Chihuahuas are a little more needy with my mom's attention but not me I am just happy to be in a loving home with my own doggy bed.

My best match will be with a home that has other little dogs, someone who doesn't mind having patience while I learn new things. and no small children. My adoption fee is $175.
