Hi, my name is Rocky and I am ready for my forever home! My owner had to move to a place that wouldn't allow dogs and he turned me over to my new friends at SBRET to find me a new forever home. I just can't imagine a place that won't allow dogs, especially friendly, loving ones like me!

I'm an approximately 5 year old male Dachshund/Chihuahua mix – I think you'll see that I have more Dachshund than Chihuahua in me! But don't let my short legs fool you ... I can keep up with the big dogs in my foster home! I wiggle so much it was hard for my foster Mom and Dad to get good photos of me. So, please keep in mind not everyone is photogenic!

I would make the most perfect companion. You see, I am doing well on my house training skills, am well-behaved, get along with other dogs and just love to cuddle! What more could you want?! It's okay if my forever home doesn't have any other dogs, because then you could shower all your attention on me. But, I don't mind having dog friends to play with either! As long as I have a warm, loving human to take care of me and for me to love, that's what's important!

In addition to being the most perfect dog, did I mention that I LOVE walks?! I don't mind being on a leash at all if I can go out and explore the world. And I love riding in the car! As far as the crate thing goes, I don't mind going into my crate for some quiet time, but frankly I want to be in the same room with my human friend as much as possible. My foster Mom puts a doggie bed beside her bed and I sleep there contently every night.
