Hello! My name is Pinky and I am a beautiful dawg if I do say so myself. I have had a tough life up until Small Breed Rescue of East TN saved me from a horrible shelter where I only had a few days to live. Whew, was I glad when I hopped my ride to Tennessee! I weigh in at a whopping 5 pounds and am about 3 years old. Sometimes my foster mom calls me Precious because I can be so very sweet but I am still learning house manners and how to act around my foster brothers and sister. I am also learning about grass and how to walk on a leash. It's still a learning process but I am trying. I am a shy female Chihuahua who may appear standoffish at first, but once you have won my confidence I will evolve into a love bug lavishing you with affection and kisses. I have lots of love to give and with time will learn to trust you. I need an adult only household please, and it would be great if you had prior Chihuahua experience (you know how special we are!). I'm working on my social skills so that I'll be the perfect addition to your family. 7/7/08 update: Well everyone I have come a long way since I came into rescue and I really love my foster mom and all my fur brothers and sisters. I am ready to be adopted by a very Chihuahua savvy person. What that means is I have to get to know you on my own terms - you will not be able to force yourself on me to pet or pick up until you give me a couple days to get to know you. I need a fairly quiet adult only home who has had previous Chihuahua experience. For the right person I will make a super sweet and loyal companion but I do need someone special.
