Hi! My name is Penny and I'm a 2-3 year old female Dachshund / Beagle mix. All these years I thought I was a Dachshund / Chihuahua mix, but everybody at the vet's office assured me that I'm a Dachshund / Beagle mix. Don't be fooled by my BARK - must be the Beagle in me - since I'm really a wimpy Chihuahua at heart...I'll have to get use to being a Beagle. I'm just a little cuddle bug that loves to give kisses and wants to be everywhere you are. I also LOVE to play - that's the only time I won't be right by your side. Like I said, I'm a bit of a wimp and cry if scared. I love kids as long as they're gentle, but I'd probably do better in a home with no small children. I hate to complain, but the other dogs in my foster home seem to pick on me (or maybe I just think they do...I'm such a wimp), so I'd probably do better in a home with no other dogs, or if you've got a very submissive dog or one that is as big a wimp as I am, that might work.
