Hi! My name is Pebbles and I am a 6 year old, 6 pound female Chihuahua. A bunch of other little dogs and I were living in a basement in crates for our whole lives! Can you believe that?! My foster mom tells me that is not normal. Sadly it was normal for me for a long time, but now I'm learning all about what is normal and I like it!

Here is what I know now: toys are awesome! treats are even better! and cuddle time is heavenly! I am still a little scared about new things and get overwhelmed out in public, but I will keep trying until I get used to everything. I am proud to say that I do a great job going potty outside if I'm let out on a good schedule. I do fine with the other dogs in my foster home but I'd be okay if they weren't around. I do get pretty annoyed with them if they try to get near my toys, food or lap and foster mom says that's wrong. I'm not sure why - all of those things are mine and no one ever taught me to share! I promise I will try to be better about that though. I enjoy sniffing around the backyard and I do need a secure fence because when I'm focused on a scent I don't hear that it's time to go inside and I keep going where the scent takes me.

I have been spayed, had an umbilical hernia and some mammary masses removed, and I've had my teeth cleaned (lots were removed but don't worry I can still eat just fine). I also had a little bump removed from my leg that turned out to be a mast cell tumor but it was low grade and had clean margins. No need to worry but if a new bump pops up we will need to have it checked out by the vet. I am also up to date on my vaccinations, flea and tick prevention and heartworm prevention and am all ready to move into my new home.

If you have toys, treats, a lap and a fenced yard to explore and are looking for a dog to throw toys for, give treats to, cuddle with and enjoy the yard with I think we'd make a great couple! My adoption fee is $175. If you think you'd like to have me over for a home visit please fill out an application.

Love,
Pebbles
