My name is Molly and I am so very fluffy and cute. My foster family thinks I look like an Ewok from Star Wars! I am a healthy, 11 lb. brindle colored female Shih Tzu, and I'm almost 9 months old. I've been having the time of my life playing with toys inside and running around a big back yard; I also get along really well with other dogs. I am friendly, playful, and very social - haven't met anyone yet that I didn't want to be friends with. My potty training is going really well and, when my mom times it right and gets me outside, I won't have accidents in the house. I am very good about sleeping in my crate at night but would prefer to stay close to you (or in your lap) during the day when you are not playing with me. I am pretty irresistible. Because I am young I do tend to want to walk really close to you when you walk so you have to watch out or I will accidentally trip you up - my mom is working on this with me. I am pretty bouncy when I get excited but will calm down quickly after I get my hugs and attention. I have very pretty hair and, to stay that way, I will need professional grooming and frequent brushing. My groomer said that I especially need to get used to my face being brushed as I was pretty sensitive, just around the face, when she was working with me. While I'm still young is the best time to establish good grooming manners so that I get used to it. I am a funny, smart, sweet, playful, wonderful little girl. If you would like to give me a loving forever home, call my buds at SBRET. My adoption fee is $250. 4/20/08 update: My foster mom (who thinks that I am practically perfect) wanted me to write a little update for you. She says that I need to remind you that I am a very small Shih Tzu and can squeeze between small spaces. If you have a deck or fencing that has slats more than about 3 inches wide, I can go through it. I am also so interested in being with you that I might jump off a high deck and hurt myself in order to get to you. I love to run and play so a fenced backyard would be best (just needs to be secure so I can't get through it). She said that I have to also tell you that I am a little "klutzy" and misjudge distances when jumping or going up steps (which I don't particularly like). Most of the time my neat foster family just laughs and is able to catch me when I jump up on a chair and am about to miss it. I don't have many inside potty accidents but, for some reason, carpet is more of a challenge for me to remember my manners with so, if you have a lot of wood or tile floors, it is better for me. I am having soooo much fun in my new life and guarantee that I'll be a friendly, sweet, cuddly, funny, playful companion.
