Hi! My name is Mikey. I’m an owner surrender that ended up at Young Williams Animal Shelter. The folks there called my new friends at SBRET and the rest is as you say “history”. I’m a 10 month old male Chihuahua mix and weigh about 9 pounds. I’m white with big brown spots. I’m pretty cute, if I do say so myself!

While I’ve been living with my foster family, I’ve learned to “sit” and walk on a leash. I understand the command “go pee-pee” and I know that’s my cute to go potty outside. I have been doing really well with my house-training and mostly use the bathroom outside. Sometimes my foster mom is not quick enough to get my “I need to go outside signals” so I use the pee-pee pad instead, which I find great because it’s been too cold outside for a little skinny guy like me!!

I get along really great with my foster brothers, even though they are bigger than me. But to tell you the truth, it took me a few days to figure out how I fit into the pack! But now I feel really comfortable with them and we love to cuddle together. I even get along with the weird creatures my foster mom calls “cats”!

Some of my good qualities are that I am very loving and sweet. I like to cuddle and love to give kisses. I will follow you everywhere you go and make sure that you are OK. I also sleep very well in my crate, especially with a big, soft, and cozy blanket in it!! I play with toys occasionally but I’m not really sure what to do with them yet, but my foster brothers have been trying to teach me!

Although I am curious and love to explore, I can be a bit timid at first and am a little shy around new people. But you will know when I am nervous because I shake like a leaf! My foster mom always comforts me when that happens and I don’t stay scared for long!
