In Loving Memory

OK, here's the deal...I can't help the fact I'm very masculine looking and take a lousy photo. I am what I am. Everyone has tried to get a "sweet" picture of me, one that is "soft" and "adorable." But they all turn out looking the same...a little manly man of a dog giving the "stink eye" to everybody. Not my fault. In real life I'm a sweet boy who knows what he wants...1) food and 2) a warm lap to sit in. Plain and simple.

My foster parents are actually CRAZY about me. They should know because they've lived with me for the last 4 months. They know that I'm easy-going and not in the least bit demanding. I go with the flow. They tell me to do something and I do it (unless I don't want to.) They run errands and I sit and wait for them to come home. No crying or whining. They sit at the computer and I sit in their lap. I potty outside without a problem and accept the crate without a fuss. I adore my family but make no mistake, food is the love of my life. Don't make me choose, 'cause you might be disappointed. Ha!!

I used to sleep in a crate at night but then slowly but surely, I ended up sleeping in the bed with my folks. I have that effect on people. I can worm my way into your heart without you realizing! Right now, there are several people in the SBRET group that are mad for me. It's true, I'm like that, I grow on people.

Now, let me tell you that I'm a male Chihuahua, 8 years old and weigh 7 lbs. I had an inflamed disc in my back when I first came here but am doing great now. Losing several pounds was a big reason, so don't let me gain it back. I enjoy the company of other dogs and humans, too. I don't bark much, only once or twice if I need to get your attention. I am not terribly active, but I love to go outside and "Hoover" around as my mom calls it. If it's not tied down, I'll eat it. You humans have no idea how good dried worms taste. Delicious!

I would love a little dog companion, because I'm easy to get along with. They can't be too rowdy or too big. I don't like to play and I don't like rough-housing, but I do like to cuddle. A fenced in yard would be pretty cool. Little children, not so cool.

So there you have it. That's me in a nutshell. You may never get a pretty picture of me but you will get my heart if you love me enough to let me into your life. My adoption fee is $175.

Love,
Manny, or Lil' Man, manny man, baby boy, etc.....
