Wow was that scary! Thank goodness SBRET has a foster volunteer who loves little dogs like me. You see I was out on my own and turned into the shelter and the shelter was really full so it was not looking promising for my future! Next thing you know I am being taken out the door and after a brief stay at the vet's office have found myself in a wonderful home with people and dogs and even one of those funny furry things called a cat. My name is Josie and I am only about 1 year old and am probably a Jack Russell/Dachshund mix and I weigh a petite 12 pounds. My foster mom says I am just the most pleasant little dog she has met in a long time. I am fitting in well with the other dogs in my foster home and not being too pushy and I am ok with the cat too. I love to snuggle on your lap but am having a great time exploring my fenced backyard too. My foster mom says they "lost" me one day and found me snugly tucked into a pillow sham on their bed--hey I wasn't lost I was just trying to catch a nap! Another thing my foster mom seems pretty impressed with is that I am doing great on my housetraining--boy you humans make a big deal about that! I walk nicely on a leash and since I am young would love a home that will give me lots of exercise and play time. I would make such a wonderful addition to your family if you are thinking about adding a little 4-legged fur buddy to your household. Please contact my new very best friends at SBRET and tell them Josie sent you their way! My adoption fee is $175.
