In Loving Memory

Hello, my name is Hank and as you can see, I am a beautiful little 6 lb. Yorkie boy around 5 years old. I haven't had it easy so far in this life, and I am in need of a very special forever family who is willing to help me overcome a problem I'm having. You see, I have spent most of my life living in a cage in my own waste so I am having great difficulty understanding why it is unacceptable to use the potty in my crate and in the house. It is completely normal to me to do my business just anywhere. Other than that, I am a friendly, loving and happy boy.

I walk well on a leash and ride well in a car and want nothing more than to snuggle in your lap and in your bed. I am quiet in my crate, but I will make a mess in it if left for very long. My foster mom is really working hard on this issue with me, but she says this is probably going to be a long term process and there just might be a family out there willing to understand and help me.

I love the other doggies here and while I'm curious about the cat, I don't bother him. I am friendly with the children here but a bit timid of them, so older children would be best. Most of all, what I absolutely must have in my new family, is someone who is home almost all of the time and a fenced in yard. My foster mom has had a lot of dogs come through here, and she says she believes that one day I will be housetrained but that it is going to take a very special and patient family to get me there. Do you think you might be that very special person?

Please call SBRET and ask about Hank! My adoption fee is $175.

Puppymill dogs require a stable home with a fenced yard, someone home during the day (or in and out several times), and someone willing to give them many months to work on housetraining and socialization. They may always have some housetraining and socialization issues.
