My name is Choopie, and I am cute as can be and ready to start looking for my new family! I was 8 weeks old on August 5 and weigh just a bit over 1 pound. I am a female Chihuahua who looks like I will have longer hair - can't tell yet if I will be as fuzzy as my sister Izzy. I am the outgoing one and am always looking for trouble. I am brave and busy and confident. I need a home with no small children and no large dogs as I am very tiny and will probably never be very big, although that is always hard to predict. I will need a home where someone is home part of the day, and I would love a tiny little, friendly dog buddy too. I am so small and do get underfoot a lot so if you are not agile on your feet and accustomed to tiny dogs getting in your way I am not the gal for you. My foster mom has bottle fed me since I was 2 weeks old so she is going to make extra sure I go to just the right family that will hopefully be able to provide me a loving home throughout my life. Remember Chihuahuas have the longest lifespan of all dogs, and that can mean 15-20 years. So please keep in mind when applying to adopt me that I am quite a commitment. You also need to know that tiny Chihuahuas frequently do not do well with babies and toddlers. If you are planning on starting a family, then I am not the right pup for you. This will be one of the rare instances that SBRET will have to release me with a spay contract because I am too small to spay right now. Applicants will need to have a great track record of spaying and neutering any past or current pets. My adoption fee will be $100.
